About Me

I'm Darby, the wife of Yakima Fruit Market employee, Dale.

Yakima Fruit Market and Nursery in Bothell, WA is one of the best places on earth. It was my first real job when I was 16 (I'm now considered an "alumna"), and 11 years later my husband Dale has found his place there. "The Fruit Market" is what we call it around our own house, as if it's the one and only fruit market in the world. To us, it is.

The fruit market is a big part of our family life, opening day through Christmas trees. From Dale's daily adventures there to our ritual weekend morning shopping with the kids, we appreciate the path of produce from the fields to the market, and from the market, to our family table.
